Saturday, 1 January 2011: New Year’s Day
Lebanon celebrates the New Year with traditional customs and food. In some areas, they hunt on the first day of the New Year to determine good fortune. Good meals must be served such as hams, black-eyed peas, corn bread and more to bring good luck. It is a day for family reunions.
